Cognex DataMan Information
The Cognex DataMan is a compact fixed-mount 1D/2D code reader ideal for applications where space is limited. The DataMan has the option of new liquid lens technology that allows for variation in focus through software control. More traditional lens options are also available.
The DataMan comes in three different models that make the DataMan available for use in a wide variety of sensing situations. With Cognex's advanced technology and high-performing code reading algorithm, along with powerful, user-friendly software, the DataMan is a very versatile reader -- one of the best!

Advanced Code Reading
The Cognex DataMan is capable of decoding seemingly unreadable codes, such as those on curved reflective surfaces, damaged codes, direct part marking, and low-contrast codes.
Three Different Models
DataMan S Model
For slow-moving parts or index motion, where parts have well marked 1D/2D barcodes, components manufacturing. DataMan identifies boards and components where spaces constraints require 2D codes.
DataMan Q Model
Fast, high-performance code reading of 1D/2D barcodes on fast-moving parts, document handling and sorting. The DataMan fixed-mount readers with IDQuick are perfect for sorting documents, envelopes, and more.
DataMan X Model
Highest-performance code reading, for applications that require reading the most challenging DPM codes or 1D barcodes. Part-level code reading.
VisionView System
The VisionView 700 is a powerful, low-cost operator interface panel that provides password-protected user control to adjust vision tool parameters and regions of interest without requiring a PC on your factory floor. Seven-inch touch screen gives total control during run-time operation. Four Ethernet ports provide power and connectivity. One LAN port allows you to connect a PC for setup or use with an external switch to connect up to five additional cameras (total of nine connected cameras). Three USB ports facilitate your ability to save failed images for further analysis without interrupting your throughput. Combined with the powerful VisionView software, the complete system provides the ideal for monitoring and controlling your total vision system.
